Telecom Asset Management (TAM)
Vision + Track = Control
Telecom Asset Management (TAM) Overview
Telecom Asset Management (TAM) is a comprehensive system designed to manage telecom networks including fiber optics, GSM, and landline infrastructure. It is supported by an Auto Discovery module to discover active network elements and validate passive network data, ensuring accurate and complete visibility of the network through GIS and dynamic topology views.
This enables operators to easily identify where sites or customers are connected, detect affected users based on fault locations, analyze path segments, and determine optimal connection points. TAM also provides insights into utilization, availability, and performance metrics such as revenue per asset, population per asset, and cost per asset to support strategic decision-making and network optimization.
TAM also supports telecom operators and network owners by integrating with OSS/BSS systems, network inventory platforms, and operational workflows to improve service delivery, infrastructure visibility, network planning, and operational efficiency.
In addition, TAM tracks project progress by monitoring purchase orders and installation activities, identifying discrepancies between ordered and installed assets to improve vendor management and prevent asset loss. The system maintains historical records of network changes and auto-discovered data, which are essential for network design, planning, and troubleshooting. It also supports customizable workflows to streamline telecom business processes.
